For over 50 years, Utah Youth Symphony Orchestras & Ensembles have provided premiere training for young orchestral musicians of the Intermountain West.

Our orchestras have nurtured thousands of talented musicians ages 12–21 with coaching and development by the area's finest professional conductors and musicians.

Auditions for the 2012 - 2013 Season
 

If you would like to audition for one of our orchestras, please email uysymphony@msn.com to request an audition. Include your name, mailing address, instrument, phone, and school grade for the 2012-2013 year, as well as the orchestra you are auditioning for: (1) UYSO/UYPhil or (2) UYJSO. We are accepting auditions in UYSO and UYPhil for every orchestral instrument. UYJSO will be accepting auditions for all orchestral instruments except harp and percussion.

Audition dates for UYSO/UYPhil:

Friday, January 20 from 6:30-8:00 PM for Strings/Percussion (Auditions Full)

Sunday, January 22 from 5:15-6:30 PM for Strings (Auditions Full)

Monday, January 23 from 4:00-6:00 PM for Strings

Tuesday, January 24 from 6:30-8:30 PM for Brass/Woodwinds/Harp/Percussion

Wednesday, January 25 from 4:00-6:00 PM for Brass/Woodwinds/Harp

Thursday, January 26 from 7:15-9:15 PM for all instruments

Tuesday, FEBRUARY 28 from 6:00-8:00 PM for all instruments
