Welcome!For over 50 years, Utah Youth Orchestras & Ensembles have provided premiere training for young orchestral musicians of the Intermountain West. Our orchestras have nurtured thousands of talented musicians ages 12–21 with coaching and development by the area's finest professional conductors and musicians.

Thank you for a wonderful season! UYSO, UYPhil and UYJSO topped off their successful season with Symphony No. 5 by Dmitri Shostakovich on May 5 in Abravanel Hall.

Auditions for the 2012 - 2013 Season
Auditions for NEW members for 2012/2013
which will begin in September will take place
on the following dates for UYSO and UYPhil:
Tuesday, May 22 @ 4:00-6:00 PM
Wednesday, May 30 @ 4:00-6:00 PM
Auditions for UYJSO will take place in
the fall. Email for an appointment.
If you would like to audition for one of our orchestras, please email uysymphony@msn.com to request an audition. Include your name, mailing address, instrument, phone, and school grade for the 2012-2013 year, as well as the orchestra you are auditioning for: (1) UYSO/UYPhil or (2) UYJSO. We are accepting auditions in UYSO and UYPhil for every orchestral instrument. UYJSO will be accepting auditions for all orchestral instruments except harp and percussion.
