Utah Youth Orchestras
& Ensembles (UYOE)

Since 1986, Music Director and Conductor Barbara Scowcroft's vision has been to educate and inspire young musicians through exceptional ensemble training and performance opportunities in classical music.

As Utah's first youth symphony, founded in 1957, Utah Youth Orchestras and Ensembles have nurtured thousands of talented musicians ages 12-21 with coaching and development by the area's finest professional conductors and musicians.


Weekly Schedule for June 2nd and 3rd

Congratulations on a great performance. This Friday, June 2nd, we will rehearse the new compositions from the Young Composers Workshop from 4:00 to 6:30, and Saturday, June 3rd, we will record the new compositions, also at the regular time, 9:00 to 11:30. Both rehearsals will be in room 272 of Gardner Hall.   .

The Young Composers Workshop will conlcude with a rehearsal on June 2nd and a recording session for the new works on June 3rd.  Parts should be available Saturday, May 27th. I will send an email with printable copies to practice and post them to the website as soon as they are available.

Best of State Community Music Program Award

Congratulations to Utah Youth Symphony Orchestra who has been awarded the Best of State 2014 Community Music Program Award!
